How Vastu Impacts Health, Wealth, and Peace at Home

Most people meet Vastu at the point where something in the house has started to feel wrong — sleep that will not settle, money that will not stay, a room nobody wants to sit in. The instinct to look at the space itself is a sound one.

Health responds first, and most visibly. The bedroom is where a correction shows up fastest: a bed whose head points south, a window that is not directly above you, a room with no mirror facing the bed. People notice the difference within a fortnight, and it is not mysterious — you are simply sleeping in a better-arranged room.

Wealth is slower and less literal. What Vastu actually asks for is a clear entrance, storage that sits heavy in the south-west, and a north-east corner kept open and lit. The effect is on how a household behaves — a home you can move through without friction is a home where decisions get made rather than deferred.

Peace is the sum of the other two. Once people are sleeping properly and the house is no longer working against them, the arguments about clutter and space tend to quieten on their own.

None of this needs a builder. In the homes we visit, the work is a bed that gets turned, a cupboard that moves wall, a corner that gets cleared and a lamp — carried out in an afternoon.
